Electricity connections and bills

Record electricity connections by USC, fetch or enter bills, mark them paid and keep track of overdue and upcoming dues.

Overview

Electricity Payments keeps every electricity connection and its bills in one place. A connection can belong to a unit, a floor or the whole property. For each connection you can store the USC (Unique Service No.), SC No., meter number, phase, contracted load and provider (DISCOM). Bills are recorded with their period, units, amount, due date and status.

Tiles at the top show the number of Connections, Open bills, Overdue bills, bills Due ≤ 7 days and the total Outstanding.

For TG Southern Power (TGSPDCL) connections, Property360 can fetch the latest bill by USC from the DISCOM's online bill enquiry. Bills are also refreshed automatically once a day.

Before you start

  • The property, and the floors and units, should already exist. See Add a property.
  • Landlords and master admins can add connections, record bills and refresh. Other roles with access can view.
  • Keep the USC or SC No. from a recent bill to hand.

Steps

  1. Open Payments → Electricity Payments.
  2. Click Add Connection. Choose the Property, then optionally a Floor and Unit.
  3. Enter at least one of USC (Unique Service No.), SC No. (Service Connection) or Meter Number. Add the Phase, Contracted Load, Provider / DISCOM and a Label (optional), then save.
  4. To fetch the latest bill, open the connection's ⋮ menu and choose Refresh from provider. Use Refresh all on a property band for all its connections, or Refresh all in the toolbar for every property.
  5. To enter a bill by hand, open Bills & payments from the ⋮ menu and click Record Bill. Fill in the Bill Month, Bill Year, Bill Number, Units (kWh), Amount and Due Date.
  6. When a bill is paid, choose Mark paid, or edit the bill to add the Paid Date, Payment Mode, Payment Reference and Paid By.
  7. Use the search box (USC, SC No, meter, unit) and the property filter to find connections.
  8. Choose Fetch history to see each fetch attempt and its result.
Tip:You can also edit a unit's electricity details in the Electricity section of the unit editor. To load many connections at once, use Data Import → Electricity.

Example

Sunrise Towers has a ground-floor shop meter shared by Units G1 and G2. You add the connection once with its USC. The list shows it as one row with a shared · 2 badge, so its bill and outstanding amount are counted once. Clicking Refresh from provider fetches this month's bill, and the Due ≤ 7 days tile updates.

FAQs

Which DISCOMs support automatic fetch?

Automatic fetch currently supports TG Southern Power (TGSPDCL). For other providers, record bills manually.

What does "Last Synced" mean?

It is the date of the last fetch attempt for that connection, and whether it succeeded or failed.

Does an owner-paid bill count in co-owner settlements?

Yes. Electricity paid by an owner is included in Expense Reconciliation along with construction and property tax.

Troubleshooting

A fetch failed

DISCOM websites have no official interface, so fetching is best-effort. Check the USC, try again later, or record the bill manually. Failed fetches are retried in the next daily run.

"Enter at least a USC, SC No or meter number"

A connection needs at least one identifier. Copy it from a recent bill.

The same meter shows twice

Make sure both units use exactly the same USC. Connections with the same USC are merged into one row.
